Cheshire Woman Honored For Volunteer Work at Masonicare
A Cheshire woman who works as hospice volunteer at Masonicare's Home Health & Hospice has been selected to receive the organization's Dedicated to Outstanding Volunteer Excellence award.
Michaela Hauser-Wagner (shown at left) was presented the award in a ceremony recently at the Wallingford office of Masonicare's Home Health & Hospice. The award is given annually to one volunteer who exhibits exceptional dedication to the program and exemplifies the true spirit of hospice care, said Jolan Szollosi, volunteer coordinator for the Wallingford hospice team.
"Michaela has been a wonderful asset to our team," Szollosi said. " Her personal hobby is creating collages, and she has used that talent to create many collages with her patients. The collages are completely designed by the patients and are a wonderful expression of who they are."
Hauser-Wagner has been a volunteer in the Wallingford office of Masonicare's Home Health & Hospice since 2010, Szollosi said.
